This is a reminder that our March Lee County Democratic Black Caucus General meeting was canceled and replaced with a Social last week at the Lee County Black Historical Society. It was wonderful to meet and socialize in person.
As a reminder, our elections are scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. If you have an interest in running for the following positions, please send Elizabeth Williams or Nancy Simms and email notificationASAP, ewilliams6046@gmail.com or simms83168@aol.com:
President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Recording Secretary (vacant), and Treasurer.
These positions can be shared with another individual.
Additionally, although we do not elect our committee chairs, we need to fill our vacancies: (1) Campaign, Legislative, and GOTV; and (2) Fundraising. If you need more information about these committees, do not hesitate to contact me, (239) 839-2297.
Remember, we cannot have another great Chapter Social without funds, and we certainly cannot get work done without resources.
